The HKSAR Government launched the pilot Greater Bay Area Youth Employment Scheme in January 2021 to encourage qualified enterprises to employ Hong Kong university graduates to work in the Mainland cities of the Greater Bay Area. The response to the Scheme was very positive. Over 400 enterprises offered nearly 3 500 job vacancies, and more than 1 000 young people have reported for duties. The HKSAR Government announced the regularisation of the Scheme on 1 March 2023.
