The national planning documents including the Culture and Tourism Development Plan for the Greater Bay Area expressly support Hong Kong in developing into an international tourism hub and a core demonstration zone for multi-destination tourism. Having well-developed boundary crossing facilities and various world-class attractions, Hong Kong will continue to implement the principle of “shaping tourism with cultural activities and promoting culture through tourism”, leverage the opportunities arising from the commissioning of various major cultural facilities, and establish the Greater Bay Area tourism brand with Hong Kong Tourism Board to attract more overseas and high-value added visitors to embark on Greater Bay Area multi-destination journeys via Hong Kong.
