The HKSAR Government provides tax concessions for eligible marine insurance business, ship leasing activities and shipping commercial principals (i.e. ship agents, ship managers and ship brokers), with a view to attracting more high value-added maritime enterprises to establish business presence in Hong Kong; keeps the Talent List of Hong Kong (covering Marine Insurance Professionals, Naval Architects and Marine Engineers & Superintendents of Ships) updated; enhanced services and expanded service coverage of the Hong Kong Shipping Registry; driving the development of Smart Port in collaboration with the trade.
