Riding on the rapid development in the Greater Bay Area, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department established collaborative networks with major venue operators in the Greater Bay Area so as to open up new opportunities for Hong Kong arts groups. The Department has also supported Hong Kong arts groups to conduct touring programmes in the Greater Bay Area since November 2018. During the four fiscal years from 2018-19 to 2021-22, a total of 45 touring programmes in 127 performances were staged in seven Greater Bay Area cities that attracted over 60 000 attendance, and online programmes recorded over 6 million viewership.
