With world-class museums and performing arts venues, the West Kowloon Cultural District (WKCD) is a new cultural landmark in Hong Kong. M+ is one of the largest museums of modern and contemporary visual culture in the world. The Hong Kong Palace Museum promotes the study and appreciation of the public to Chinese art and culture by showcasing the priceless treasures from the Palace Museum. Xiqu centre aims to conserve, promote and develop Cantonese opera and other forms of xiqu. Apart from presenting fascinating exhibitions and programmes that blend local, traditional and international elements to the visitors from the Mainland, the Greater Bay Area and around the world, the WKCD will also collaborate with the cultural institutions from the Greater Bay Area with a view to make arts and cultural exchange, build audience and nurture talents.
