The National 14th Five-Year Plan supports Hong Kong to develop into a regional IP trading centre. In line with the national strategy to develop IP, and complementing our vision to develop a knowledge-based economy, become an international innovation and technology centre and support development of the cultural and creative industries, the HKSAR Government has been committed to protect IP rights and promote IP trading. The HKSAR Government will continue to adopt a multi-pronged approach to further develop Hong Kong into a regional IP trading centre by leveraging the institutional advantages of Hong Kong’s legal and IP protection system.
