The Civil Aviation Department of the HKSAR Government has been liaising closely with the Civil Aviation Administration of China and the Civil Aviation Authority of Macao in studying and implementing various enhancement measures in relation to Pearl River Delta airspace management. Furthermore, the HKSAR Government has been working with the Airport Authority of Hong Kong (AAHK) in enhancing co-operation with airports in the Greater Bay Area, with a view to optimising the use of resources in the region and enhancing operational efficiency of airport. For example, AAHK has been participating in joint meetings among the five major airports in the Pearl River Delta to discuss direction and needs for the development of the airports in the region as well as identify opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation.
